In 2001 we launched NewsZone; we were hired by the Crossroads Appreciation Society, and then later, the Brookside Appreciation Society to provide a news service for their soaps.

In 2002 we expanded to cover all soap opera news, and in 2005 SoapZone was born as we also started to cover more and more general television news - with NewsZone covering cult, television and features while SoapZone continued with the soap opera headlines.

In 2006 we expanded SoapZone further by introducing a weekly round-up of the latest storyline plots, and in 2007 FeatureZone was added as we brought in more non-news articles.

We're evolving again. With an ever growing readership (mainly via our mailing list) and ever expanding site - we've decided to rebrand the entire news service.

From Monday June 16 we'll be known fully as the ATV News Network. With SoapZone becoming ATV Soap, NewsZone will be renamed ATV News and the more recent FeatureZone is to become ATV Features.

The other change is the url. From today onwards you will need to use www.atvnewsnetwork.co.uk to reach the main site.
